Text description provided by the architects. The project consists in the extension and rehabilitation of the existing house into offices, community offices, meeting rooms.
The extension settles along the north limit of the plot. A maximum of the garden is therefore exposed to the south and the existing house « Maison Terrel » is well emphasized. The northern entrance facade is directly linked to the car park and the facade offers an institutionnal entrance to the building.
The house is renovated respecting its original aspect of the house and the extension brings a contemporary architectural expression.
The project is compact in order to reach its energetical aims. It articulates the two directions of the plot and gathers them together into a pile game of volumes. From the outside, the architecture assembles those two directions by a slide game to characterize a fonctionnal facade in the north and an opened and recreational facade in the south, on the garden.
